  6. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and while still in the skin, score the flesh into squares. Scoop out into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  7. Chop enough green onions to make 1/2 cup.
  8. Put all chopped ingredients into the mixing bowl.
  9. Add minced garlic and all dry ingredients.
  10. Squeeze the juice from the lime into the mixture.
  11. Mix well and let sit for at least 15 minutes before serving.
